Studio Policy

Lessons by Lyle Michaud follows an “Annual Enrollment” model, which takes the approximate total number of Lessons conducted in a year and divides it evenly by 12, paid in equal monthly payments. Upon enrollment, the Client is directed to www.lylemichaud.com/subscribe where they register for their Subscription of choice. Tuition is then paid online with a credit card or bank account, and automatically renews. The Client can manage their payment and subscription settings by logging into their Customer Account on www.lylemichaud.com. If a Client wishes to pause or end enrollment, they must provide written notice at least one month in advance, during which paid lessons will continue to be conducted, unless the Client choses to forfeit any paid lessons in the final month of enrollment.

Enrollment begins when the Client confirms the selection of an open slot that’s been offered to them by the Instructor. If no slots are currently available, the Applicant will be placed on a Waitlist, and as new openings become available, the Instructor will contact Applicants on the Waitlist to offer slots. Upon enrollment, Clients will purchase the required learning materials: a metronome like this, these music flashcards, and any other books or materials indicated by the Instructor.

If the Client cancels a Lesson, the Client is not eligible for a refund and is not guaranteed a make up Lesson. If a Client is absent more than 15 minutes into their scheduled Lesson time without having given prior notice, the Instructor reserves the right to consider that Lesson to be cancelled by the Client. If the Client shows up late, that Lesson will still end at the scheduled time (even if the Client provides advance notice that they will be late). If the Instructor cancels a Lesson on any date that the Studio is normally open, it is up to the Instructor to either reimburse the Client the Refund Value of $80/60-Minute Lesson or $60/45-Minute Lesson OR offer a make up lesson time. Studio days of operation are designed to coincide closely with local school district calendars. Lessons are not scheduled, charged, refunded, or rescheduled on or due to these holidays in the 2024-2025 school year:
