About me
-
A New England native, I began playing piano by ear at the age of five and received my Classical training primarily under the tutelage of Dr. Daniel Weiser at Dartmouth College. In 2007, I established my own piano teaching business, became an accompanist for choirs, and later released my debut album. Graduating cum laude in 2014 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Composition from The School of Music at The Master’s University, I studied piano with Prof. Lauren Shackelford, and composition with Dr. Joel Scott Davis and Prof. Sarah Wallin-Huff. Among countless formative experiences, I had the opportunity to attend and participate in master classes by the likes of world-renown concert pianist Sam Rotman and award-winning composer Dan Forrest.
Over the past two decades I’ve composed hundreds of works and had the privilege of performing as a soloist and ensemble musician throughout the United States, Europe, and Israel. More importantly, I’ve had incredible honor of instructing about 300 musicians on both the East Coast and the West Coast through Lessons by Lyle Michaud. I’ve served as an officer of the San Fernando/Santa Clarita/Ventura Chapter of the California Association of Professional Music Teachers, and received the Outstanding CAPMT Member State Recognition Award in both 2021 and 2022.

I play because I love to. I want to reach people through my music. To make them think, feel, and do.
I write because I cannot help myself. Music is inside me, so I feel the need to share it outside me. To create is part of what it means to be human.
I teach because I want to help make dreams come true. I want to be a part of raising up the music makers of tomorrow. I desire to improve society around me thorough the beautiful art of music.

Premium Piano Instruction
As an exception to the cliché, “Those who can’t do, teach,” it’s been my honor to guide about 300 students along their musical journey. As a piano instructor and an active musician myself, I know the challenges of mastering an instrument first hand, and am uniquely positioned to apply my training and experience to support growing musicians at every stage in their development.
